Barry Bonds is an American Baseball player. He is a former Major League Baseball outfielder. Bonds started playing for the team Pittsburgh Pirates and then the San Francisco Giants. He is the son of another major league player, Bobby Bonds. Bobby Bonds was an All Star as well when he played baseball. He debuted in the Major Leagues with the Pittsburgh Pirates and joined the San Francisco Giants. Bonds' accomplishments during his baseball career position him among the greatest baseball players of all-time. Barry Bonds has a record-setting seven Most Valuable Player awards, including a record-setting four consecutive MVPs. He is a 14-time All-Star and 8-time Gold Glove-winner. He holds numerous Major League Baseball records, including the all-time Major League Baseball home run record with 762 and the single-season Major League record for home runs with 73, and is also the all-time career leader in both walks and intentional walks. Bonds the first player in history with more times on base (376) than official times at bats (373) in 2004. This was due to the record number of walks, which count as a time on base but not a time at-bat. He had 135 hits, 232 walks, and 9 hit-by-pitches for the 376 number.
