Everybody wants to go out there and win the tournament. And, you know, if they can't they are happy for whoever else does. So I think it is a great Tour out here. There are so many good people out here, and I think it is just... a nice family of people out here. We all know each other very well. We spend a lot of time competing against each other. But we also spend a lot of time in practice rounds, and dinners, and hanging out, and chatting on the range. So it is a little different scenario than you would have... in other sports. You don't have people that compete against each other hanging around each other all the time, so it is a very different scenario. Corey Allen Pavin was born in Oxnard, CA and currently resides in Orlando, FL, with his wife, Shannon, and sons, Ryan and Austin. As a graduate of UCLA, Pavin turned professional in 1982 and went through Q school in 1983. He has an amazing 14 PGA Tour victories which include: the 1984 Houston Coca-Cola Open, the 1985 Colonial National Invitation, the 1986 Hawaiian Open, the 1986 Greater Milwaukee Open, the 1987 Bob Hope Chrysler Classic, the 1987 Hawaiian Open, the 1988 Texas Open, the 1991 Bob Hope Chrysler Classic, the 1991 BellSouth Atlanta Classic, the 1992 Honda Classic, the 1994 Nissan Los Angeles Open, the 1995 Nissan Open, the 1995 U.S. Open, and the 1996 MasterCard Colonial. His 10 international victories include: the 1983 German Open (Eur), the 1983 South African PGA Championship (Afr), the 1983 Calberson Classic (Eur), the 1984 New Zealand Open (Aus), the 1985 New Zealand Open (Aus), the 1993 Toyota World Match Play Championship (Eur), the 1994 Tokai Classic (Jpn), the 1995 Asian Masters (Asia), the 1995 Million Dollar Challenge (Afr), and the 1996 Ssang Yong International Challenge (Korea). Pavin won the Arnold Palmer Award in 1991. His national teams include the Walker Cup (1981), the USA vs. Japan (1982), Nissan Cup (1985), Ryder Cup (1991, 1993, 1995) and the Presidents Cup (1994, 1996). Corey and his son Ryan won Disneys father-child event for Ryans age group in 1996. Pavins also serves as host for the Corey Pavin Golf Classic benefiting Big Brothers and Big Sisters in Ventura County, CA. When asked how he has accomplished so much, Pavin replied,
