Mike Ditka is a football hall of famer, which every football fanatic knows. Mike was a former American football player, coach, and sports commentator. Mike Ditka was drafted into the NFL during the 1961 Draft to the Chicago Bears. In late 2013, Ditka retired the 89 Bears jersey, which is the final number to be retired by the Bears. Ditka was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 1988 for his stunning performance throughout his football career. After retiring from playing the sport in 1972, Ditka wasn’t done with the sport just yet. Mike was immediately hired as assistant coach for the Dallas Cowboys. Ditka’ coaching skills were very apparent helping the Cowboys with the 1977 Super Bowl victory. Mike then became the Chicago Bear’s head coach in 1982. He won NFL Coach of the year in both 1985 and 1988 by various football magazines. Ditka began his commentary career working for NBC as an analyst for NFL Live.
