Warren Moon is a former football quarterback who played for both the Canadian Football League, as well as the National Football League. Being a black high school quarterback, various colleges wanted to recruit Moon, but wanted to convert him to another position. Moon finally decided to play for West Los Angeles College. He quickly became a record-setting quarterback in 1974-1975. Soon after, Warren began playing for the University of Washington. In his senior year, Moon was able to lead the huskies to a 27-20 win and won Most Valuable Player. After college, Moon signed with the Edmonton Eskimos in the Canadian Football League. Moon was very successful in the league and was inducted in the Canadian Hall of Fame in 2001. After his career in Canada, Moon came back to the United States to play for the Houston Oilers. In 1993, Houston Oilers had an amazing season with Warren Moon under center, which would be Moon’s last season with the team. Currently, Moon is working as a broadcaster for radio and television or the Seattle Seahawks. He became inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2006.
