Mike Eruzione is a former ice hockey player who held the very important position as captain during the 1980 Winter Olympics United States national team. The Olympic game that the United States team upset the Soviet Union in the famous Miracle on Ice game. Eruzione, who played forward, scored the winning goal against the Soviets and helped the Americans win the Gold medal. While he never played in the NHL, he did play for two seasons in the International Hockey League, with the Toledo Goal Diggers. Mike Eruzione then became a television broadcaster, taking the microphone for New York Rangers and New Jersey Devils for the USA Network and FOX. Mike also went on to commentating for five Olympic Games, working for both ABC and NBC. Mike Eruzione is a member of various hall of fames and is part owner for the USHL Omaha Lancers. Mike now divides most of his time between motivational speaking, charity work, and serving as director of the Development for Boston University Athletics.
