Mike Shanahan is very well known NFL football coach. Mike started his football career as a tight end, but after a life-threatening college football injury his football career switched towards coaching. Shanahan has coached for numerous teams in the NFL. His first position as head coach was for the Los Angeles Raiders in 1988. He was with the team for less than two seasons and then moved to become offensive coordinator for the San Francisco 49ers. He helped lead the team to the Super Bowl XXIX victory in 1994. With his success at the 49ers, he got hired to be the head coach with the Denver Broncos. As head coach, he led the team to a back-to-back Super Bowl championships for the 1997 and 1998 seasons. Shanahan than released his book Think Like a Champion, which was a motivational novel that was about leadership. After not making the 2008 NFL playoffs, Shanahan was let go. The Washington Redskins then acquired him for the 2009 season. He led the team to a seven game win streak that helped them get to their first NFC East.
