Roman Gabriel is a native of Wilmington, N.C. where in high school he was All State in football, basketball and baseball. Roman has a Bachelor of Science degree from N.C. State University where he was a Scholastic All American as well as a two-time Football All American. Throughout his 16-year career in the NFL with the Los Angeles Rams and Philadelphia Eagles, Roman was All Pro for four years, the Rams MVP three times, the 1969 NFL MVP and Pro Bowl MVP. In Philadelphia he was the NFLs Comeback Player of the Year and Man of the Year in 1973, 1974 and 1975. Upon his retirement, Roman amassed 31,000 total yards, 201 touchdown passes and over 30 rushing touchdowns. Roman has remained active in sports as a coach, analyst and executive both on the college and pro levels. Today he operates R/G Enterprises. Roman is involved in promoting many charity events and serves on several advisory boards. He is the first to receive the Charlotte Touchdown Club Lifetime Achievement Award and induction into the Wilmington, North Carolina Walk of Fame. He is a member of the North Carolina Sports Hall of Fame and the National Collegiate Hall of Fame. Roman was formerly associated with Carolina Panthers Radio as a Color Analyst. He is now a distributor for Nutrition for Life, a health and wellness company. He is also an independent contractor with Tournament Promotions and an exciting motivational speaker.
