Michael Strahan is a former American football player who had a 15-year long career for the New York Giants. Strahan began his football career playing defensive end for Texas Southern University. Michael was drafted in 1993, but his career didn't really take off until 1997. That season he had 14 sacks and was named First Team All-Pro by the Association Press. In 2001, he was the NFL Defensive Player of the Year and two-times NFC Defensive Player of the year in 2001 and 2003. He retired in 2003 after the Super Bowl Win. Strahan was voted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2013, his first year of eligibility. Currently, Michael is working in the media becoming apart of the Fox NFL Sunday pregame show, working on various television shows and commercials. Then in 2010, Michael co-hosted with Kelly Ripa on Live! With Regis and Kelly filling in for the absent Regis. When Regis left the show in 2011, Strahan was selected to become the new co-host for the show starting in September 2012. The show now called, Live! With Kelly and Michael became a huge success.
