Former American football wide receiver Terrell Owens played in the NFL for 15 seasons. He was drafted to the San Francisco 49ers in 1996 because of his size and speed. Owens became a big name to the San Francisco team when he filled in for the hurt Jerry Rice. Owens played for the team for eight years. Then in 2003, he left the 49ers and played for the Philadelphia Eagles. Owens gained quick popularity from the Eagles’ fan base. He was averaging a touchdown catch per game. After injuries, Owens was released and began playing for the Dallas Cowboys. He set a Cowboys records in 2007, which helped the team to the NFC East title. After playing for numerous teams he retired in 2012. Since his retirement, Owens started the Catch A Dream Foundation and has become a vocal advocate for raising awareness about Alzheimer’s disease. He has also written a children’s book “Little T Learns to Share” to teach children about important life lessons.
